2. How to prepare the case?


Preparing a case is mandatory before you begin writing
your Case study. You must follow the following points to
prepare your case:--
1.Read, analyze, and examine the case thoroughly.
2.Focus your analysis
a. Identify at east 2-3 key problems that you have to cover
in the case study.
b. Now try to understand why these problems exist.
c. What is the impact of these problems on the
organization?
d. Who and what is responsible for these problems?
2. How to prepare the case?

• 3. Uncover possible solutions by reading,


experience, outside research and analysis.

• 4. Select the best solution by looking for its


pros and cons and checking whether the
solution is realistic or not.
3. Making a Structure of the Case
Study
The following is a suggested guideline
for preparing your case reports.
• Cover page
• (Include Case Study Title, Student Name, Date of
Submission)
• Executive Summary
• (If appropriate – should be written last to focus
on key p[oints/findings)
• Introduction
• Current Situation Analysis and pertinent
Background including a sypnosis of the relevant
information from the case analysis.
• Body
• Key Issues/Goals/Problems
• Decision Criteria
• Assumptions
• Data Analysis (analysis in appendix and summary info in
body)
• Preferred Alternative with rationale.
• Justification/Predicted Outcome or Recommendations:
It is important that all guesstimates or creative ideas be
founded upon some economic rationale.
If you are not confident in your ability to do so…..PLS.
FEEL FREE TO DISCUSS “HOW TO” as a team with the
professor well in advance of your case presentation.
• Conclusion
• Sum up the main points and findings and
discussions.

• References
• It is recommended that you source business
journals, periodicals, and textual references as
well as any online research. Make sure you
support your ideas with facts and figures. Please
try to use your own words and ideas based on
research rather than copy and paste other’s
words from the internet. You should use APA
style or MLA style in-line citations, image source
citations, and an alphabetical CITATION LIST in a
reference section.

• A case study is like an in-depth and extended
example that is used to illustrate a particular
argument.
• We can define a case study as a method for developing a complete
understanding of a process, program, event or activity.
• (Wholey et.al. 1994, 163).
• A case study can be thought about as a way of
approaching a research topic.
• Defining the questions and hypothesis of a
subsequent study
• Presenting a description of an event within
its context
• Establishing a cause and effect relationship
• They are used in a variety of academic
fields, from medicine and law, to media
and communications.
• Case studies are generally categorized in three
ways:
• 1. Exploratory
• 2. Descriptive
• 3. Explanatory
• An exploratory case study is aimed at defining
the questions and hypotheses of a subsequent
study.
• Other researchers can then use this to
conduct future research on how to implement
or drive new or updated welfare programs in
the country.
• A descriptive case study, or illustrative case
study, presents a complete description of an
event within its context.
• A method to interpret and analyze real life
business situations in all effort to suggest
possible solutions
