At approximately 7:30pm in Patterson Hall, Resident Elise ONECanupp saw 2 african american men in front of
room 904. It looked as if they had been staring at his door and when they noticed Resident Canupp,
ONE they
began to move away, and asked her if a male lived in the room, to which she replied, yes, her Resident
Mentor AlexTWOBailey lived there. They slowly walked down the hall and asked Canupp
ONE how she was doing. One
was carrying a large puffy blue duffel bag and was wearing black sneakers, gym shorts, and a tank top. They
were both wearing dark colors. She then entered her room and made sure the door was closed.
At approximately 8:00 pm, Resident Sarah Mallon saw them coming up to the 8th floor on the left side (from

exiting the elevators) staircase.
At approximately 8:30pm, Resident Bridget FOURScaglione saw these two men on the 8th floor watching TV in the
common area. RM Gabi FIVE Fedel also saw them and assumed that they were her residents boyfriends. Resident
Mallon
THREE saw them talking to a resident on the 8th floor about how the floor smelled of marijuana around this
time as well.
At around 10:15, two of RM Fedel's
FIVE residents who wish to be anonymous knocked on her door and notified
her that two men, who had been seen watching TV on the 8th floor were now on the 9th floor and nobody
knew who they were and the residents were concerned. RM Fedel FIVE went up to the 9th floor and asked for their
CarolinaCards. Both men stood up, unplugged their phones, and said they were just leaving. RM Fedel FIVE
offered to walk them out and took them down the elevator. They asked if she was an RM and did not make
eye contact. When she asked if they were students here, they did not reply.
At 10:00 pm, Resident Mentor on Duty Sarah Fabrizio received a phone call from RM Alexander TWO Bailey,
notifying her that his resident, Aubrey
SIX Dearstine, saw a suspicious male in the lobby, meaning the 9th floor
common area. RMOD Fabrizio and RM von Klar walked around the first floor lobby, misunderstanding what

SIX said but saw no one suspcious. At 10:21 pm, Resident Scaglione
FOUR saw them watching tv
on the 9th floor and thought it suspcious and let RM Fabrizio know. RM Fabrizio went up to the 9th floor to
ask RM Bailey
TWO about the suspicious guys when she received a phone call from RM Gabi Fedel that she had
FIVE
escorted the two men out. RMOD Fabrizio called GSOD Bri and RM Fedel FIVE called USCPD and met with them.
