As global concern about the current COVID-19 outbreak grows, we’re doing our best to support our servicemembers, veterans and military families in staying healthy and safe in their homes, and in their workspaces, or healthcare, nursing care facilities.
A part of keeping everyone safe requires a hard and honest look inward, in our daily operations, and reconsidering any event that we have scheduled, planned or considered.
As such, we’ve made the very difficult decision to cancel Adopt a Military Mom for Mother’s day. In addition, this is a list of major events we’ve had to cancel this year.
1. Adopt a Military Mom for Mothers Day 2. Public Ceremonies and Gatherings for Memorial Day 3. Easter at Moffett Field 4. Valor Games Far West
I know many of you look forward to the Adopt a Military Mom for Mother’s Day every year as do Grace, myself and all of the other members of the team that have dedicated many years to making this a wonderful event.
We are closely monitoring the situation, and we have folks on the ground working the VA, First Responders and others in providing aide and comfort, and much needed supplies in the battle against COVID-19.
