Subject: “The same day, the same time” at the Siberian Intl. Marathon.

Dear Mr. Sandalkin:

I am aware of your intention to apply on August 12, 2012, at the occasion of the 23rd edition
of your subject marathon, the concept lighted by our friend Boris Prokopiev , called The
same day, the same time, giving to the runners of your race the privilege of performing the
42,195 km of the marathon distance together with the Olympic marathon runners in London.

I would like to congratulate you and your team for such a wonderful idea which with no doubt
contribute to expand the Olympic ideals thru the popular distance runners, and more
specially thru a world class race standards as this AIMS race, the Siberian International
Marathon, following the initial experience made by Zelenograd in August 2008, in parallel
with the Beijing Olympic Marathon.

On behalf of AIMS, allow me to transfer to you the Association wishes of success for such a
project, hoping that the development of your project receive the attention of medias and the
registration of the maximum number of marathon lovers…
