 Lesson 1: Assessment group 1 (5-7 students) Synchronous
delivery. Zoom.

Learning Presentations have been timetabled so that higher


outcomes level students go first and the remaining students
watch and ask questions. Presenting students have
already had the opportunity to practice through and
additional zoom session with the teacher.  Learning
outcome for non-presenters in further understanding of
and engagement with presentation protocols/language
plus formation of questions ( non-presenters are all
expected to ask at least one question)
Tasks/Activity Five or six students will present live on zoom either as
/ lesson a poster or power point, following the different timings
and question protocols for each. The remining students
will observe, make notes, and prepare questions ahead
of their own presentations either in an additional
session in week three or in the timetabled session in
week four. 

 
 

 Lesson 2: Asynchronous Delivery Note Lessons split between


student who have already completed presentations (group A) and those
yet to take them (group B

Learning S’s will fulfil a number of important learning outcomes.


outcomes Firstly they will deepen their understanding of the
protocols of Academic writing/ secondly they will be
introduced to University level lectures in terms of
complexity and duration, so preparing them for future
study. The higher level students will make notes on the
lecture and summarize the content increasing their
capacity to deal with and differentiate between the
salient points in a high quantity of information.

/ lesson and definitions/ examples of do’s and don’ts/common
errors etc

ASSIGNMENT: Notes and summary to be uploaded to


study smart.

HOMEWORK Differentiation: Higher level students use notes to


formulate quiz and comprehension questions together
around key points for lower level students. Quiz is
either created in online site (quizlet etc) or questions
are converted to Moodle quiz by teacher.
