routinary activities of many people. It may be an expression of oneself, a passion, or

just a companion. Music has the power to change one’s mood, feeling or even the

way of thinking. People spend hours listening to music. People listen to music while

the acoustic instrumental music in relation to the reading comprehension of students.

Many studies had been made regarding on this topic, but this study focuses on a

specific genre of music.

The subject of the study will be the Grade 12 STEM Science students. The

sample population of the study will be selected through random sampling then it will

divided into the experimental group and the controlled group. This study may help

students improve or rethink their study habits. Through this study, we may find out if

there is a relationship between music and reading comprehension among students.

The respondents of the study will be given an article and followed by a

constructed questionnaire to get the needed data for the study. The experimental

group will answer the instrument with the music playing while the controlled group

won’t be given any treatment. The gathered data will be evaluated, interpreted and
