The three pieces of work I chose show many different abilities of mine.

The Egg Drop

Lab Report shows my ability to work by myself and my ability to build something under certain

restrictions. The Second Response Essay shows my writing ability and my ability to do research.

The Problem-Solving Essay shows I can lead a small group and a solution to a problem.

Together these three projects show a lot of the great aspects in my writing and of my other

abilities.

I can work by myself very well and do so efficiently. This shows in my egg drop lab

report, because I built a parachute container for an egg that worked perfectly and did it by

myself. I was able to figure out what I would need on it, draw it up, and build it. This report also

shows my skills in performing tasks under restrictions. The project had size and mass restrictions

making it hard to do build freely. I was able to do this without a problem and my egg did not

crack at the end.

My Second Response Essay just shows how well I write essays. It is the highest grade I

got out of all my essays which is why I chose it. It shows my research ability too because I had to

do a lot of research with numbers and facts. I really enjoyed writing this essay too. I enjoyed

writing about college because it is a very relatable topic to everyone. I believe I always do a

good job choosing a topic for my essays and that plays into my writing ability.

The Problem Solving Project was one of my larger projects my senior year. It was a

group project and I took lead on a lot of it. I was the one who chose the topic and did a lot of

reading and math on it. It was a very fun project and really showed my leading ability. I was also

able to come up with a great solution to the problem. I also had to do a lot of research on the

subject. Then I had to do a lot of math to figure out to solve the problem.
 All three of these assignments show a diverse group of abilities that I have and that are

important. Each one of them was very different from the other and I had fun doing each one. I

did well on all of them and got a good grade.
