Materials Development Workshop

& Demonstration
Instructions
1. Participants will be divided into 4 groups, with 6-8 members each.
2. Each group will be assigned two (2) days from a specific quarter via
draw lots.
3. 3-4 participants will be assigned per day.
4. Each participant will develop materials and demonstrate a specific
block of time/routine from the following:
• Work Period 1/ Teacher supervised activity
and Independent Activities (lit-based activities)
• Story Time (pre-reading, during reading, post-reading)
• Work Period 2/ Teacher supervised activity
and Independent Activities (math-based activities)
5. Each group will be given a total of two (2) hours to demonstrate and
have a feedback session in the plenary.

1st Quarter
Wk 4 (I am unique), Wednesday (I am a Filipino, I live in _____)
Wk 10 (I am Me), Friday (I am happy because I am me.)

2nd Quarter
Wk 17 (My family celebrates special occasions), Friday (Muslim families celebrate Eid'l Fitr)
Wk 20 (I have a family), Monday (My family is unique)

3rd Quarter
Wk 25 (There are places in the community where I can get services that keep us safe), Tuesday (There
are many things I can do to keep safe from danger)
Wk 30 (We are members of a community), Thursday (We pray and workship in the community

4th Quarter
Wk 37 (I have responsibilities), Thursday (I am responsible to prevent bullying)
Wk 40 (I am ready for Grade 1), Wednesday (I will know new things and meet new people in Grade 1)
