    Object: How the Aryans entered in India, where they come from and
    the theories regarding their original
    home.

    Introduction: The origin and the original home of Aryans is a matter


    of controversy.
    The word Aryan has been used in different sense. In
    India the word Aryan denote a race. "Aryan" the word has different
    meaning Noble Man. In 19th century it is Indo-European and
    ancestors of Indo-european people had their homeland in Northern
    Europe.
    There are many approaches regarding the original home
    of Aryans. till now it is a matter of controversy.

    APPROACHES:
    a) For a long time it was that Idia was the original homeland of the
    Aryans.
    b) Aryans came to India in groups that settled in the area of north
    western province in Pakisthan and Punjab of India.
    c) By 1500 B.C the Aryans migrated from central Asia to India and they
    came in contact with Indus valley civilization.

    d) The homeland of Aryans is neither Europe or the arctic. Probably it


    is from Persia or Russia somewhere someplace close to India.

    Types of Theories: There are some theories proposed by philogists


    regarding the home of the Aryans. They are:
    a) Hirts Theory: proposed by Prof.HIRT
    b) European Theory: proposed by P.FLIPPO SASSETTI and Sir. WILLIAM
    JONE
    c) Central Asian Theory: proposed by Prof.MAX MULLER
    d) Theory of North pole or Arctic region: proposed by BALA
    GANGADHAR TILAK
    e) Indian theory or Saptha Sindhu Theory: proposed by
    Dr.A.C DAS, Late GANGANATH JHA, Sri L.D.KALLA,
    Sri D.S.TRIVEDI etc...,
    f) Austro Hungarian Theory: proposed by Dr. GILES and Prof.
    MACDONELL
