2. NAFTA: North American Free Trade Agreement: Free trade between Canada, US and Mexico.
There are arguments for and againts the nafta such as it would create more american jobs while
the other said that it would transfer it to Mexico.
3. Contract with America: A promise of what the republican would do if they won over the
congress, including balanced budget amendment, tax cuts, crime laws, welfare reform (basicly
what Clinton also want) but when they won the congress, these were ignored
4. Bush: ( is the son of the other president named Bush that I don’t think we have learn about) he
is the president after Clinton

1. Clinton got impeached (becaused he lied under oath and obstruction of justice, not because of
all the things they accused him of due to lack of evident), he then faced trial in the Senate but
not convicted.
2. Al Gore supporters demand for a manual recount of vote but Bush won because the court said it
is illegal to recount the vote due to the fourteenth amendmant, lack of equal protection for
voters.
