Gacela of the Dark Death

“Gacela of the Dark death” is a short lyric poem in free verse written by Fredico Gacia

Lorca. This poem is divided into five stanzas of twenty four lines. This poem does not

have any rhyming schemes. The title identifies this poem as a Gacela. This poem is

written in the first person. We can see some repetition in this poem. The mood of this

poem is very sad. It is about death with lost love. And water symbolizes death. There is

line- “Snake like rose.” Here snake is a metaphor.
