1. Activity description

In this activity, it is expected to achieve the following learning
results:
The student will be able to introduce orally as part of the communicative
competence in English through making a video and an interview with his
tutor via Skype.
The activity lies in:

Stage 1 – Recording a video and pronunciation practices

1.1 Check and study the online content Level A1 Module 1 to Module 12,
which can be found at the Learning Environment.
1.2 Record a video where you appear showing your ID in order to check
your identity. The length of the video must be between 70 and 90
seconds. Any software or app can be used to record the video. It must
include:
a. Personal Presentation: Spell in English your full name according to the
alphabet.

b. Description of your house: Then, describe in English the place where

In order to help you, you can share a picture of the place or you can
walk around your house or office showing everything –it is optional-.
Take into account that for no reason a video where the student appears
reading won’t be accepted because the aim of this task is to speak in
English (Check online content: Level A1 - Module 3).

c. The video link must be loaded in YouTube or Vimeo or any other


virtual storage device (OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive) and share the
link in the forum of this task making sure that the video can be watched.

1.3 Study and do the following practices that you can find in Module 3 -

All the evidences of these practices must be shared as screenshots in the


forum. Files must not be attached.

1.4 You check in the forum your partners’ videos and make 3 meaningful
comments (appreciations, corrections, etc.) about those videos. Each
student must send the video link in the forum before the oral interview
via Skype.

Stage 2 – Oral synchronous interview in English via Skype

2.1 If you don’t have Skype account, you must create it (Check the
tutorial: http://bit.ly/2WICEA9) You must add as Skype contact your
tutor according to the information shared in the forum.

2.2 In order to develop the synchronous meeting via Skype, your tutor
will offer different schedules taking into account the dates established in
the Course Agenda sharing a drive that you will find in the forum.

Important: You musst access and register timely in the drive choosing
one of the schedule according to your availability. Don’t forget that it is
quite possible to be difficult to find free schedules in last days.

2.3 The topic of the interview is your personal presentation in English (3


to 4 minutes). This information must include age, occupation, place of
birth, city where you live, hobbies, likes, marital status, habits, routines
and others.

2.4 Log in Skype the day you chose 15 minutes before the time to
develop the interview. To start you must greet the tutor by chat saying
that you are ready. You must not call the tutor by Skype without tutor’s
authorization.

Important: In case you have the opportunity to go to a CEAD, CCAV or


UDR where there is an INVIL tutor, you can perform the interview with
him and he will send a report via email to the course director. It consists
of your personal data (full name, number of group, tutor’s name), grade
and feedback.

To develop this activity, consider:


At initial information environment, you must: Check the Course Agenda.

At evaluation environment, you must: Share the link of the video and
screenshots of practices. Every student must make at least 2 comments
about the videos of his partners’ recordings.

At learning environment, you must: Load individually the PDF format


paper including link of the video, screenshots of practices and comments
shared in the forum.

Take into account that the final task must be a product of your ingenuity
and creativity. For no reason tasks that are not original or are taken from
Internet will be accepted.

In a PDF format each student must send the following:

- Front page with full name, code, program he/she studies and group
number, among others.

1. The link of the video describing the house according to the


guidelines and evidences of the post taken from the forum.
2. Screnshots of the practice exercises taken from the forum.
3. Evidence of meaningful comments abut the videos of your partners
(corrections, suggestions, etc).
4. Screnshot of the Skype interview with your tutor.
5. If you cited, you must include Table of References.

2. General guidelines for the development of the evidence to


submit

guidelines:

1. Every member of the group must participate with academic


contributions in the activity development.

2. Before delivering the requested product, all the requirements


indicated in this activity guide must be checked.

3. All tasks must take into account spelling rules and requirements
stated in the guide.

4. Every member must share meaningful contributions along the


activity.

5. Every member of the group are responsible for making individual


task requested.

Take into account that all individual or group written work must fulfil
with the orthographic rules and presentation conditions that have been
defined.
Concerning the use of references, consider that the requested work in
