punishment which other countries legalize, if we imagine someone being killed because he/she
commit crimes does he/she deserve a second chance? The never ending argument between taking
someone lives or giving him/her a second chance is a very hard decision, if we put ourselves in
the situation of the criminals we can say that we want to change ourselves we demand for a
second chance but if we put ourselves in the situation of the victims we want justice, just like in
Nowadays, the crime rate is rapidly increasing. The government can’t control criminals,
the only way for them to minimize the criminal act is to imposed capital punishment, but some in
government use it as cover to their crimes. If we choose a process of executing, the most moral
way is lethal injection because the criminal won’t feel the pain until they die. Lethal injection is
the process of injecting drugs to a person, many in other countries practice this kind of
punishment because it causes an immediate death. Some uses this for suicide or euthanasia. If we
imagine many criminals have been executed. It’s been so alarming these days; in the Philippines
many are been killed because of war on drugs implemented by Rodrigo Duterte. Executing
someone or taking someone lives doesn’t makes you a criminal to? The answer underlies if the
punishment is legalized. But if we relate it to divine law theory, it is not moral to take someone
lives even he/she is a criminal. But if want to make something happen, does really imposing
capital punishment make difference? For me no, if you take away someone lives just to give
justice to the victims, can that make you satisfied or can lessen the pain you are baring?
Remember you cannot take back the life of your love ones. If we relate it to principle of utility,
an act of producing the greatest good for the greatest number, we can say that imposing capital
punishment can immediately give justice to those have been victim by murder, rape, and
plunderers, but because of human right criminals has the right to be protected. Crime is one of
the biggest social problem because it affects the society, the most common forms of crimes are
rape, robbery, assault, murder and theft, what are the reason why these people commit crimes?
Maybe because they are greed, anger, jealously, revenge, or pride. The primary reason why
people tend to do such things is because of extreme poverty, lack of available jobs, low self-
esteem, alcohol and drug abuse, these are the reasons why criminals break the law.
The government should focus more on what are the roots why there are still people
breaking the law, the government should take more focus on poverty because criminals do not
tend to do bad things if they don’t lack of something, if they don’t lack of something they don’t
even think to steal, murder or even rape. The problem is not the people but the government itself,
if we still living in a corruption country nothing would change, even the development of our
country is not even moving because of the people who rans are government. The government
should create more jobs, enacting policy is not the only solution to global poverty, as policy
often does not affect those suffering directly. Create more opportunity for the people to have
more chances of overcoming their problems, providing houses to those living in a low class of
living. Many in other countries implemented lethal injection in China, Thailand, Guatemala,
Taiwan, Maldives, Nigeria and Vietnam. The used of this method is primary use by United
States and China. Implementing lethal injection or capital punishment in other countries are
running successfully because in lessen the criminal rates to their country. Taking someone lives
is not the solution to minimize or prevent the problem of crime rates, doing the right thing is the
best way to prevent the problem we are facing, we should think first if it is moral to take
someone lives, we should be aware of the actions we are doing. If want to make something
