Lesson Planning Structure*

Subject/Grade Level:9th - 12th


Time/Duration: 2-3 class period

Objectives
Students will get a piece of paper and carefully design a T-Shirt that appeals to
the whole high school. They will get a budget and will learn what it takes to come up
with a successful T-shirt and the process it goes through.

Anticipatory Set
When all students are done with their designs, we as a class will vote on one
design and actually get it made for our class!

Teaching: Input/Mini Lesson


There will be instructions on the board and tips that will help students make the
best design they possibly can.

Teaching: Modeling
Teacher will have an example of their own model so students can see how it is
done.


Teaching: Checking for Understanding


Teacher will be walking around helping students and asking them questions
about how they will get the assignment done. Making sure all the students have a clear
understanding of what is needed.

Independent Practice
Students will work independently and solve every little issue about coming up
with their own T-shirt. This practice helps them get a glimpse of what it takes to get a
business started.

Pencil, Paper, Ruler, Coloring Pencils
