Lesson Planning Structure*

Subject/Grade Level: 12th


Time/Duration: 30 minutes

Objectives
The objective of this lesson is to teach students about how a business works and runs.
Students will watch a video about how a food truck looks and operates and will later
create their own food truck and present it to the class.

127.16 (A) (2)

Anticipatory Set
Students will watch a short videos of a food truck to get the idea of what to
include in theirs.

Teaching: Input/Mini Lesson


Teacher will design one to as an example of how it needs to be done.
Teaching: Modeling
On a scratch sheet of paper students will list all their needs for the food truck and
prices. They will also draw a model of what their truck will look like.

Teaching: Checking for Understanding


Teacher will walk around and help students come up with ideas to make the students
perfect truck.

Questioning strategies:
Teacher will ask the right questions to get the students mind going and open up his/her
world of ideas and revile a businessman.

Guided Practice
Teacher will visit with every student more than once to make sure they have full
understanding.
Closure
Students will not be left behind and teacher will make sure students understand the
assignment and eliminate any doubt left.

Independent Practice
Students will individually formulate a plan to create a food truck.

Materials
Scratch paper, pencil, and 8x11 white paper
