Places to visit on holidays

I am very excited that you are accompanying me in this talk

I am even more excited to have the opportunity to tell you about the most wonderful places to
visit on vacation, such as Mykonos the Greek island, Milan, Madrid, Paris, Rio de Janeiro and
Sydney.

Of these cities, there are beautiful places like:

Cosmopolitan and serene (Mykonos – Greece)

Greece's most famous cosmopolitan island, a whitewashed paradise in the heart of the
Cyclades. According to mythology, Mykonos was formed from the petrified bodies of giants
killed by Hercules. In addition, did you know that the island took its name from the grandson
of Apollo, “Mykonos”?
Set out on a journey to discover a fascinating world where glamour meets simplicity. On
Mykonos celebrities, college students and families mingle together to celebrate the Greek
summer. Whether you are an entertainment junkie out for a real good time, or a visitor who
wishes to explore the island’s history and tradition, Mykonos will certainly meet your
expectations.

Milan, Italy
Milan, one of the world's fashion capitals, offers endless opportunities for shopping at chic
stores. Get to know the artisan neighborhood of Brera where you can find fine leather goods
and the Via Monte Napoleone with expensive and exclusive boutiques. The charming
mosaics and glass vaults of the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery make shoppers feel like walking
inside a painting. Take a break from your shopping to be surprised at the iconic Duomo and
then look for tickets to a show at La Scala. After the opera, the district of Navigli beats to the
rhythm of the nocturnal activity.

Madrid Spain
So many buildings in Madrid look like castles that you're going to look like you're in a fairy
tale. Even the City Hall is amazing, with its white pinnacles and its neo-Gothic details. A self-
guided architectural tour can start at the grandiose statue of the bear and the madroño at the
Puerta del Sol. Go through the extravagant Royal Palace before absorbing the natural beauty
of the Retiro Park, then visit one of the many museums in the city. You can finish happily
every day by chopping a paella while you try a Spanish wine from the La Rioja area.

Paris France
Paris is famous for its splendidly preserved urban landscapes, full of icons such as the Eiffel
Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and Notre Dame, and museums full of priceless works of art.
Exploring the Parisian streets leads to the heart of the quartiers (neighborhoods) of the city,
where its established restaurants and charming boutiques coexist with creative neo-bishops,
fashion workshops and street art.

Rio de Janeiro Brazil

Rio de Janeiro is the second most populated city in Brazil, however despite this great density
the greatest attraction it offers is still its incredible nature. Sea, beaches, mountains and
tropical jungles form a dazzling landscape that is intertwined with icons created by man such
as the Christ of the Corcovado or the viewpoint of the Sugar Loaf, turning it into the symbol of
the "tropical dream", in the eyes of the whole world.

Sydney, Australia
Sydney, located on the southeast coast of Australia, is considered one of the best cities in
the world to live and also one of the most beautiful. Founded in 1788, it has more than 4
million inhabitants and next to Melbourne is the economic and cultural center of the country.
Sydney's climate is mild, summer is warm and nights are mild. The winters are not too cold
and offer many days of sunshine. The minimum temperatures reach 7 degrees Celsius in the
coldest months, which makes the large part of the population enjoy much of the outdoors.
Sydney is well known worldwide for its Dock (Port Jackson is the largest natural harbor in the
world), its Opera House and its Harbor Bridge. In turn, it is also famous for its incredible
beaches, such as Bondi Beach and other 120 frequented by surfers throughout the year.
Thanks to its parks and beaches, Sydney maintains a perfect symbiosis between a big city
and wilder nature.

It is important to visit these cities for a number of reasons.

1. Know new places. After all, they say that "The world is a book, and those who do not travel
read only a page."
2. Disconnect from the routine, the near, the current problems, and even the customs. Take a
distance and confront them with a slightly more relaxed look and full of new experiences.
3. Have a LOT of time to reflect. Especially if you travel alone, or with one more person, trips
predispose us differently to the time we are about to live. The head and heart prepare for a
time of reviewing things, of absorbing new things, and of reflecting on life, rest, work, love, or
whatever it is that is occupying us now.
4. Learn new things. Languages, customs, new ways of solving the same problems, new
ways of having fun, of loving, of enjoying, or even fulfilling responsibilities that we already
had. Things that can not always be learned in books or in the faculty.
5. Meet new people. In new spaces, of different ethnic groups, beliefs, ways of thinking and
living, of different social classes, nationalities, and customs.
