SARANGANI PROVINCE
PROVINCE
Region XII: SOCCSKSARGEN
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS
Sarangani has an interesting history and culture. It is a province where you can
find prehistoric man and jar buried a long period ago which is located in Maitum. It is
also a large island with forests and mountains where you can trek if you want to dig
deep into the wilderness. Tribes such as the Ubo. Manobo, and Blaan can be found up
to the mountains. Meanwhile, the place offers different types of beaches, museums, and
parks if you don’t opt to explore the forests.
1. Gumasa White Beach
It is also known as the "Boracay of Mindanao" for its mile-long fine sand
minus the madding crowd and unbridled commercialism. It is a home to
Sarangani Bay Festival, the country's biggest summer beach gig. This event is a
mix of entertainment, wellness, and sports events that lure hordes of beach
lovers from across the archipelago. This year's Sarbay Fest is set to be held on
the third week of May.
2. Pangi River
Located in the Municipality of Maitum, and is also known as the White
Water Tubing center of the province. You can have a 30-minute cruise down on
the rushing waters of this natural paradise. The place is safe as safety measures
are observed. On special arrangements, indigenous T'boli tribes welcome guests
with an indigenous song and dance performance.
