Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao , officially designated as


BARMM, is an administrative region in the Philippines grouped under the Mindanao
island group. It covers 5 provinces, namely, Basilan, Lanao del Sur, Maguindanao,
Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi. The regional center is the City of Cotabato. 
 
The Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) is making its mark as a vibrant
tourist destination in the 30th Philippine Travel Mart being held at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay
City from August 30 to September 1. The Bangsamoro region’s rich culture, heritage, and tradition are
showcased in the Bangsamoro Pavilion of the said event. 
  
The pavilion was designed by the BARMM’s Ministry of Trade, Investment, and Tourism (MTIT). It
features the unique products, traditional musics, and cultural costumes and dances that can only be
found in the provinces of the BARMM. During the opening day of the activity, Shalimar Candao,MTIT’s
head of tourism department, said the BARMM is not only rich in tourist destinations but also in culture. 
 
In barmm there are lost of beautiful places too  
 
This is the famous Pink Mosque in Mindanao. It was finished in 2012 after the initiative of Mayor
Samsodin Dimaukom. The color symbolizes unity, love, interfaith brotherhood, and peace. This mosque
is impressive with an artistic touch and vibrant hues. However, you need to wear appropriate clothes
when visiting the mosque. 
 
 
Blue Lagoon in Datu Odin Sinsuat 
The Blue Lagoon is a popular tourist destination in Maguindanao. It’s located near the national highway
so you don’t have to endure a long hike before you can reach the place. The water comes from the
spring connected to Tamontaka River.

With the poverty incidence rate of 63 percent, BARMM is one of the poorest regions in the country.  It
holds one of the highest levels of infant and maternal mortality and one of the lowest life expectancies.
It is ranked as one of the lowest in reproductive health indicators such as modern contraception,
antenatal care, skilled birth attendance and use of health facilities for childbirth.  ,
