3 Weekly Journal Reflection
This week was a catholic school week all the students in a different spirit. I have only done the
Math center, assessment on subtraction and religion classes. When I was playing Bingo with the
students it was a fun activity and students were able to do the task. As most of the students
needed help especially in the group orange students as the autism student in order not to get
frustrated the teacher was standing next to her in order to help her.
I also had the opportunity to talk on my vocation as the religious nun from Kindergarten to 4 th
grade about 15 minutes each class. It was on Friday and I became a guest speaker for these five
grades the questions were interesting and I was able to help them with their doubts as I already
did research to be prepare beforehand as my knowledge be not lacking.
I like Thursday activity in the catholic school week as it was on the theme teacher around the
world as Ireland, Egypt, India, France, South Africa, Southland, China, Afghanistan, etc. I had a
job to take grade 1 to tour as a tourist guide in all the classrooms and then bring back to the
classroom. I learn the different ideas and matter to make culture know to students in different
ways and also according to their level. It was fun to see as Father Leo as the Capitan of the plane
and Mrs. Katie the principal as the flight attendant. The environment in the school was fun of
landing and takeoff in these particular time I learn more about grade 1 students who were full of
zeal and learning new things.
I have met one mom as one day she came as a guest speaker to speak on her carrier to the
students here she talk about her career and students were interested in her talk. As the students
knew her as she is always voluntaries to help during lunch time. They asked tons of questions
which were interesting one.
This week was more relaxing and also with many exciting and to get to know the fun activities in
the catholic school week all the days are dedicated to each area as a parish, community, students,
nation, vocation, faculty staff, and voluntaries and family. This was the first time to know about
the catholic school week for me it was interesting and I did much research on this concept last
year I came to this school on vocation day to share about my vocation to school and me by that
time I was familiar with the students. The fact makes me very homily in this school. I got the
chance to meet most of the parents during the catholic school week and came to know more
about the first graders and their siblings.
