The Department of Trade and Industry Administrative Order No. 10-08, also known as “Business Name
Law”, is to provide protection to the public dealing with business establishments through the
disclosure of the identity and citizenship of the person owning and operating the business as well as
other facts of records of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). It states that any business with
sole proprietorship (just one owner) that will be established should register their business names with
DTI before the business starts its operation.

In compliance with the said Department Administrative Order, may we request your good office for
assistance in informing your constituents to have their businesses registered in DTI first before
obtaining Barangay and Mayor’s Business Permits.

They may go to http://bnrs.dti.gov.ph/ and fill in their business name registration details or go to the
offices nearest to your place where they can register their business names:

Negosyo Center Pagsanjan, One-Stop Shop, Basement II, Liwasang Don Manuel Soriano,
Pagsanjan, Laguna

DTI Laguna Provincial Office, Km 75, Brgy. Banca-Banca, Victoria, Laguna
