Training course for acquisition of practical skill/manipulation.

Each student has to learn 4 manipulations within the course Obstetrics and
Gynecology during the study year, according to the following the principles:

1. Theory has to be studied using the collection of theoretical material and the
manipulation video available in e-studies before video recording.
2. Knowledge test - 10 multi-choice question test in e studies has to be
completed:
- access authorized;
- for each student a set of 10 questions will be generated
from the question bank;
- the incorrect answers will be marked, but correct answer student should
find in theoretical material;
- there will be a time limit of 5 minutes for completing the answers;
- only completed test with 100% right answers will give access to the
registration for practical part of training in e-studies;
- if test is failed, next access to test will be available after one hour;
- each time another set of questions will be generated.
- when arriving for the practical part and video recording, theory must be
learned before so that the video could be recorded right away on the first
appointment;
3. Registration for practical part is available in e-studies. Students can register
for independent training in a group of 3, group work is mandatory. Duration of
training for one group is 45 minutes at once. On arrival at RAKUS Campus, all
three students have to register in office and get access to the training room.
- It is possible to register only for one scheduled time at once. Registration
for next time (if needed) is available when first time is completed.
- Students of 7th semester can do the recording after completing classes of
topics 3.,5. and 9.
- Students of 8th semester can start after 1st class of gynecology and
obstetrics in according semester.
- Recording should be completed in the next two weeks after finishing
obstetrics and gynecology.
- It is possible to change the time for practical part not later than 48 hours
before the scheduled time (except weekends and holidays). If student
cancels his or her registration with no justifying reason or doesn’t show up
for the practical part, registration is possible only with permit from the head
of the department of obstetrics and gynecology the first time, or the dean
in case of second cancellation.
4. Each of the 3 members in the group is assigned to different role: 1st student is
performing practical training, 2nd is following the check list, 3rd is assistant and
helps with equipment and video camera.
Roles are changed during the training session. The manipulation is completed
when student can perform and explain manipulation without stopping and
without any help from fellow students (no reading from any device or paper
etc.) and this activity is videotaped and uploaded in e studies. Student will
receive feedback from teacher in e studies.
- In case if reading from paper or other devices or help from fellow students
will be observed, the video won’t be counted and the recording must be
repeated (security camera for the class room will be reviewed in case of
doubt);
5. There are instructions available in training room how to perform manipulation,
instruction how to use IT technologies, as well as office worker for assistance
will be available.
6. Two practical skill acquisition should be done during each semester.
