Hello PCSD First Grade Families!


In an effort to always provide the best educational experiences for our students, we are
constantly researching and implementing different educational techniques. We have recently
decided to pilot a bold, new venture of virtual schooling for K-12 students. Below, you will
find the list of expectations for your First-Grade student if you so choose for your child to
partake in the pilot of this new venture.

General Expectations:
§ Students are to use district devices for educational purposes only.
§ Students are to handle district devices with care – you break it, you buy it.
§ Students are to receive permission from the district to download apps outside of what is
already provided.
§ Students are to keep private information private (i.e. log-in information, passwords,
etc.). Aside from the student, only parents and teachers should have access to this
information.
§ Students are to share with a parent or teacher if they come across something that
makes them feel uncomfortable.
§ Students are to communicate if they do not understand a topic or assignment.

Behavior

• Students are to communicate positively with others. Remember to be kind and


respectful to others.
• Students are to complete and submit work by the specified dates to ensure they stay on
track with the pacing of the modules.

Plagiarism

• Students are to complete, create and submit their OWN work.


• Students are to give credit if they use words or pictures from others.

I am very excited to pilot this new venture of virtual schooling for First-Graders. I hope you
and your child choose to come along on this new journey with me.
