--- Bhagvad Geeta

mentally dejected and heartbroken; once he developed strong attachment towards his near
and dears and refused to kill them.

States that that our ever wandering mind is the seat of our desires and hence the need to
control the same.

Geeta is an elixir about the right working of mind and offers clinically/ scientifically based
correct analysis/solution about its behavior, illness and indecisiveness of the mind.

The entire Geeta revolves around Almighty and His opulence and working clearly that all
wordly things are due to Him only.

It provides scientific reasons why he is formless and how to meet and find him; which
further illuminates that he is our best friend and He never abandons us and is always on
our right side always cautioning us against wrong actions in form of our inner Voice.

It talks about soul mandating that soul is internal and never dies or takes birth.

It states that I am soul and the body as the perishable while soul is everlasting.

It clarifies why one commits sin when normally none would like to do so; explaining that it
is the anger (erupting due to non fulfillment of desires) which forces one to commit sin.

It brings out that everyone has to face the results of one’s actions whether good or bad,
further stressing that one should perform right actions as prescribed in Holy Scriptures.

It further lays stress on the co-ordinated working of three vital organs of the body namely -

Body, mind and Intellects instead of following mind alone as it will since intellect alone acts
as minds’ force to correct our actions and having a check on one’s mind.

It also deliberates on the type of food one should take giving the advantages/disadvantages
of different foods and finally recommending that we should have saatvic and vegetarian
food only to have a healthy body and mind as all foods have a direct affect on both.
