METAMORPHOSIS OF Franz Kafka

One morning Gregorio Samsa woke up and discovered that he had turned into a disgusting insect,
he was in a bed on his big hard shell and several legs, he turned into a beetle, he looked around
and his room was the same as always, He decided to go to sleep because he thought it was a
nightmare and because he began to think how exhausting his work is, when he woke up and saw
his watch he realized that it was too late to go to work, he wanted to get up but he couldn't
because of his big and heavy shell, he couldn't move either, he realized that it wasn't a nightmare,
His father asked him if everything was all right, Gregorio answered that everything was all right,
the door rang, it was his boss who, seeing that Gregorio didn't come to work, decided to go home
to see what was wrong, the boss heard a noise and said that something wasn't right, the noise was
Gregorio who fell out of bed, His boss says that something is wrong that Gregorio's sales are down,
Gregorio hearing this was offended and tried to defend himself, his father opening his door his
family and his boss were disgusted and horrified, Gregorio sees that his boss runs out decides to
chase him but his father hits him with a cane leaving him in his room locked up.

Gregorio wakes up thanks to the food his sister leaves him, but he does not touch the food.
Gregorio starts thinking about the economic situation his family will have since he was giving
money and he worries because he does not have a job anymore, the next morning his sister enters
the room and realizes that Gregorio did not touch the food, He traded his food for rotten
vegetables, Gregorio didn't want to eat, Gregorio listened to his father about the family's
economic situation, the situation is not so bad since they have a small savings which could last 2
years more than the money Gregorio gave to his family.

After a month Gregorio's family does not get used to Gregorio's new look, his sister continues to
leave him food but is not able to see Gregorio so Gregorio puts on a sheet to cover himself so his
sister does not see him every time she comes in.

As the days go by Gregorio realizes that he likes to be on the ceiling and walls of his room, so his
sister Grete decides to take out all the furniture to give him more space and freedom, Grete
decides to ask her mother for help, but her mother after seeing Gregori faints, when Grete sees
her mother lying on the floor father asks what happened here? Grete answers Gregorio escaped,
Gregorio sees his father escaping, but his father throws apples at him and one hits him on the
back, Gregorio remains on the floor in pain, his wound healed in one month, his family was not
able to get near him so the apple was trapped in his back, his family left the door of their room
ajar Gregorio took the opportunity to see his family gathered in the living room, his whole family
got a job, his father in a bank his mother as a seamstress and his sister as a saleswoman in the
mornings.

Gregorio discovered that the economy of his house was not well, he heard his father complaining,
but they could not do anything about it because they did not know what to do with it, Gregorio
realized that they changed the cleaning assistant, this woman was not afraid of Gregorio , her
family decided to receive 3 guests to earn a little more money, they used Gregorio's room leaving
it in a place full of garbage containers and old furniture.

One night the cleaning lady left the door of Gregorio's room open and Gregorio decided to look in
on the guests while they were eating, His sister was very angry and told his parents that they
should take care of Gregorio, Gregorio sadly decides to go to his room, his family recognizes that
he did not want to hurt them they let him go to his room once inside Gregorio felt comfortable his
pains disappear and the wound on the apple disappears, When the clock strikes 3 a.m. Gregorio
drops his head and dies, in the morning the cleaning assistant discovers Gregorio's body in his
room and tells L family, once the cleaning assistant cleans Gregorio's room, the family decides to
go to the country, they can't complain about their life since they all have good jobs now that
Gregorio is gone they will be able to move to a smaller apartment and Grete will be able to get a
good husband.

MY OPINION OF THE BOOK

It’s an easy book t oread, it’s history is confusing because it’s history offers us
different opinión or interpretations you can read it more that 3 times and you Will
understand it in a different way or from another way or from another perspective.
