Teacher: Good afternoon, children and our guests! I’m very glad to see you here. Now
we shall organize a competition called " I want to know everything”. Two teams will
take part in a game of the most quick-witted and the cleverest. It’s time to introduce
yourselves. Who is the captain of the 1st team?
P1: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is "Stars”.
Teacher: Who is the captain of the 2nd team?
P2: I’m the captain of the team. The name of our team is "Friends”.
(Состав команд, ихназвания определяются заранее).
Teacher: Today all of you have a good chance to improve your English during the
game. I have invited a competent jury to count the points. The members of our jury
are your teachers ___________________. Now I’m going to teach you how to play
this game. The game has 8 contests, they are:
1. The ABC game.
2. A magic 5.
3. Parts and wholes.
4. Hidden words.
5. A tongue-twister.
6. The right choice.
7. Solve the riddles.
8. Read and match.

II.                Основной этап. 
Teacher: And now we come to the 1st contest of the game called "The ABC game”.
Kids, you’ll get some letters from the English alphabet. You must put the letters in the
right order, so as to get the name of the English-speaking country. You have 1 minute
at your disposal. Each team can get 5 points.
(Карточки с буквами: 1. Е, N, G, L, A, N, D.        2. A, M, E, R, I, C, A).

Quiz-master: And now we come to the 2nd contest which is called "A magic 5”. Look
at the square, each team will take turns in answering questions. You’ll choose any
number.   Captains will have an opportunity to choose the number. (Капитан
выбирает номер задания, и команда отвечает)

Дети быстро и весело отвечают на вопросы, члены команды помогают друг
другу, если вытягивается номер 5, команда просто получает 5 очков.

Teacher: The 3rd contest is called "Parts and wholes”. I need 1 pupil from each team.
You should combine these parts so as to get a popular name. Who will be the first?
You can get 1 point for each right answer.

Teacher: Attention, please! The 4th contest is called "Hidden words”. This round is for
the captains. Find, please, the animals hiding in the following sentences!

Teacher: The following task is for the rest . I need 1 pupil from each team. You
should read the tongue-twister as quickly as you can 3 times.

Teacher: The 7th contest is called "The right choice”. It’s very important to make the
right choice in our life: the right choice of a color, a hobby, a friend. Each team
should answer my questions. You’ll get the cards with the letters a, b, c. Choose the
right answer and show us the card.

2. London stands a) the Volga b) the Mississippi c) the Thames.
3. The symbol of England is a) a red rose  b) a tulip c) a daffodil.

Teacher: One more contest. It’s called "Solve the riddles”. You should guess the
riddles. The team which answers  the first and correctly wins. You can get 1 point for
each right answer.
I have got four legs but I can’t walk. (a table or a chair)
I’m tall and green, I’m in the garden. (a tree)
It does not have legs, but it goes. (a clock)
Two brothers, but they don’t see each other. (eyes)
It’s white, cold and sweet. All children like it. (ice-cream)
It’s not a man, it’s not a woman, but it teaches us. (a book)
Teacher: Our last contest is «Read and match”. You should read these statements and
match them.

1). Организационный момент
T – Good morning, my dear friends! I am glad to see you. Take your seats and let`s
begin our lesson.
- How are you today?
- What date is it today?
- What day of the week is it today?
- Is it Wednesday or Friday?
- What season is it now?
- It is autumn, isn`t it?
- What is the weather today?
- Do you like autumn? Why?
- Who is absent?
           Okay, well done. Good for you.
2). Сообщение плана
T – So today we`ll continue our work on the topic. We`ll train the words, recite
some poems, read, write, make up dialogues and work in groups.

T – Let`s repeat some sounds, first of all:

5). T – Some associations are connected with favourite subjects, learning new

снимая трудности следующего задания).
T - Now imagine that one of you is a student from Great Britain, another one is a
student from Russia.Let`s make up your dialogues speaking about your school.
e.g. P1 – Hello, Dasha!
       P2 – Hi, Mary!
       P1 – How are you?
       P2 – I am fine, thanks. And you?
       P1 – I am OK. Thank you. Do you go to school?
       P2 – Yes, I do. I go to school and I like it very much. What about you?
       P1 – I go to school, too, but I don`t like it really.
       P2 – What are your favourite subjects?
       P1 – As for me I like English and Russian. And you?
       P2 – I like many subjects such as Maths, Biology, Literature, English and …..
       P1 – How many lessons a day do you have?
       P2 – We usually have five, but sometimes six. What do you do at English?
       P1 - We read, write, listen to a cassette recorder, play, recite poems by heart.
       P2 – Do you like your teachers?
       P1 – Yes, some of them. They are kind, helpful, clever and understanding.
       P2 – I`d like to visit your school and see everything with my own eyes. Bye.
       P2 – Bye-bye.

6). Another association is connected with teacher and pupils. Let`s work in groups.
One group is a group of teachers, another is a group of pupils. Tell us what
teachers and pupils must or mustn`t do. ( на доске подстановочная таблица)

7). Монологическое высказывание.
T – We know it for sure that schools in Russia are different from schools in Great
Britain. Open your books at p.7 ex. 4 and tell us a few words about schools in
Russia. Don`t forget that all of you should speak. (учащиеся оформляют мини
монологическое высказывание по цепочке).
P 1 – I would like to tell you some words about school in Russia.
P2 – In Russia people begin to go to a secondary school at 10/11.
P3 – A school year starts in September.
P4 – It finishes in May.
P5 – Russian students have many subjects such as ……. .
P6 – They do not wear a school uniform.
P7 – A lesson lasts 45 minutes.
P8 – Students have many holidays: winter, spring, summer, autumn.
P9 – Russian students go to school because they learn new things, get smarter, get
good marks.
P10 – We like our school.

I. Начало урока. Введение учащихся в атмосферу иноязычного общения.
1.Организационный этап.
а) Приветствие:
Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you! Sit down, please.
б) Речевая зарядка: 
I hope you are fine. How are you? Учитель показывает большой цветок.
 - What’s this?  Do you like flowers? What colours do you see on the flower? What’s your
favourite colour?
в) Сообщение темы и целей урока.
Тoday at the lesson we are revising all we know about colours.Тhat is words and phrases,
questions and answers, conversations about colours. We’ll also listen to your projects about
colours, remember the verb to have , do grammar exercises.
So, our theme is “In the world of colours”. Let’s start!

Look at the blackboard and try to read the sentences!
Дети называют звуки [j], [i] [p], [i:], [k], [n], [ei], [r]. [w], [ou], [au], [ai] .

II. Основная часть урока.
1. Проверка домашнего задания.
 - Let’s check up your homework, children! I’d like to listen to your projects about colours.

marks.
 2. Презентация.
 Let’s watch my presentation: “In the world of colours”.
 Включаю презентацию.
 Повторение и закрепление в речи ранее изученных слов по теме «Цвета» (презентация,
слайды 1 – 12)
 Упражнения на понимание.
  Игра “ What colour is missing?” (“Какой цвет исчез?”) ( презентация  слайды 13 – 15.)
 Учащиеся по просьбе учителя догадываются, какого цвета исчез лепесток.
 Игра “Agree or disagree” (Согласись или не согласись)
 Учитель показывает один из лепестков и произносит: It’s red (black…)
Учащиеся соглашаются или нет, называя правильный цвет:
 I agree. (I disagree. It is blue.)
. Обобщение и систематизация знаний . (слайды 16 – 20 )
  Во время фильма мы уже говорили, какого цвета бывают животные. А знаете ли вы, что
некоторые животные являются национальными символами разных стран или типичными
их представителями. Ребята по просьбе учителя называют животных, после этого они
произносят на английском языке те цвета, которые они видят на картинках. У каждой
страны есть свой флаг. Какого цвета эти флаги? (слайды 19 – 20)
 Let’s count these colours. Давайте посчитаем, сколько цветов встретилось нам в песенке,
перечислите их.  (слайд 21)

3.Работа по учебнику.
- Children, open your books, page 167, exercise 2.
Закрепление грамматического навыка употребления в речи глагола to have.
And now  let’s do  exercise 3.
Упражнение на тренировку употребления в речи притяжательных местоимений.

4. Физкультминутка.
T: Are you tired? Let’s have a rest.

from the table.
7. Домашнее задание.
 - Write down your homework, children! Рage 44-45, ex.27-28.(workbook). Составить 3
предложения с новыми словами.
8. Игра:»Кто быстрее раскрасит?»
We have some time. Do you want to play?
Учащиеся делятся на 2 команды: девочки против мальчиков. При помощи компьютерной
программы дети разукрашивют  предложенные картины. Кто быстрее тот и победитель.
III. Заключительная часть урока.
1.Подведение итогов деятельности учащихся.

 Что нового узнали на уроке?
 Какие задания были наиболее интересны?
2. Выставление  оценок.

3.Песня про цвета.

Исполнение песни  «What colour is the sky?» под музыкальное и экранное сопровождение.
