Q.1-“For success in any human endeavor both value and skills
are required”
Explain the statement by illustrating two workplace situations
Values are principles, fundamental convictions, and ideals, standards of life which act as
general guide to behavior or as a reference point in decision making. Values are beliefs
about what is right and what is wrong and what is important in life. Value literally
means something that has a price, precious, dear and worthwhile; one is ready to
sacrifice for. It is a set of principles which guide the standard of behavior. Values are
desirable and held in esteem. They give strength to a person’s character by occupying a
central place in his life. It reflects ones attitudes, choices, decisions, judgments,
relationships, dreams and vision. The guiding principle of life which are conducive to all
value development. It is like the rails which keep the train on track. Without values, life
will be chaotic. Values are virtues, ideals and qualities on which actions and beliefs are
based. Values are guiding principles that shape our world outlook, attitudes and conduct.
The moral values present a true perspective of the development of any society or nation.
They tell us to what extent a society or nation has developed itself.
Values however are either innate or acquired.
Innate values are our inborn divine virtues such as love, peace,
happiness, mercy and compassion as well as the positive moral
qualities such as respect, humility, tolerance, responsibility,
cooperation, honesty and simplicity.

Skills are the expertise or talent needed in order to do a job or task. Job skills allow you to do
a particular job and life skills help you through everyday tasks. There are many different
types of skills that can help you succeed at all aspects of your life whether it's school, work,
or even a sport or hobby.
Skills are what makes you confident and independent in life and are essential for success. It
might take determination and practice, but almost any skill can be learned or improved. Set
yourself realistic expectations and goals, get organized and get learning There could be
various skills for example-
• Leadership and Management skills
• Professionalism skills
• Organisational skill
• Team building skills
• Analyticall skill
• Sports skills
• Life skills
• Personal life skills
• Student skills
Learning different skills and improving on the ones he/she already have can help an
individual succeed in life and stand out from the crowd. Working on self-abilities can
make an individual more productive and confident in whatever one plan to do. He/She
can gain or improve skills in everyday life and work by taking classes, finding a
mentor and regularly training. Every experience and relationship one has can open the
door to a new skill or enable an individual to polish up your current talents.

EXAMPLE NO.1-The perfect example of value + skill could be taken from the
example of “APPLE COMPANY”
Once what happened in Apple, there was a female employee she use to travel miles to
reach office on time she couldn’t afford a four wheeler for some due reasons, She kept
coming for years but one thing that remained constant in her was that she was
punctual, hardworking, skillful and a loyal employee to a respective company, and
soon this was noticed by APPPLE C.E.O “STEVE JOBS”
He immediately ordered a car for his employee and handed over as a gift to her
“STEVE JOBS” respected the values of the lady that was never compromise with the
work no matter how hard the situation gets as well as skill which she must have
shown in the company,
C.E.O also knew how to value his employee and that is why he gifted her a car
because he knew that such an employee with both skills as well as value could not
be easily lend off .
So here we can see that skill as well as values has some weight in every organization
that will one day be respected.

Accumulation of scarce resources. Specific people, organizations, and nations are said to be
wealthy when they are able to accumulate many valuable resources or goods. Wealth can be
contrasted to income in that wealth is a stock and income is a flow, and it can be seen in
either absolute or relative terms.
The feeling of having or making available more than required physical facilities is
prosperity. Almost all of us feel that wealth alone means prosperity and try to explain this
phenomenon on the non-existent or half fact. We are trying to achieve happiness and
prosperity by maximizing accumulation and consumption of physical facilities .It is
becoming anti ecological and ant people, and threatening the human survival itself. Ensuring
availability /production of more than required physical facilities .We can be prosperous only
if there is a limit to the need for physical facilities. If there is no limit what be so ever be the
availability the feeling of prosperity cannot be assured .secondly, the assessing the need is
not enough .we need to be able to produce or make available more than the perceived need.
Prosperity vs. wealth means possessing more number of physical things while Prosperity is
a feeling of possessing more than required physical facilities
Prosperity is a feeling of having more than required physical facilities; it is not just physical
facilities. Almost all of us feel that wealth alone means prosperity and try to explain this
phenomenon on this non-existent half fact. Wealth is a physical thing. It means having
money or having allotted of facilities or both .This is a very important distinction. We mostly
fail to make this distinction today. We keep working for wealth, without realizing that the
basic desire is for the feeling of prosperity, to have a feeling of having enough, Prosperity is
more acceptable to us because wealth is just a part of prosperity. We are trying to achieve
happiness and prosperity by maximizing accumulation and consumption of physical
facilities. It is becoming anti ecological
And anti-people, and threatening the human survival itself. A person has lot of money, but
does not want to share even a bit of it. The person has wealth but feels deprived .if one felt
prosperous he/she
Would have shared what one has, since there is lot more than enough wealth anyway.
What is the difference between Prosperity and Wealth?
Material gain:
Prosperity: Prosperity can be used to speak of material gain as well as other prospects as well.
5
Success:
Happiness:
Health:
In my opinion prosperity is more acceptable and prosperity is far more than money, when you
really think of the word. There is so much more energy and full fullness to it.
Perhaps Prosperity more than success is what we should be striving for.
Prosperity embodies money, wealth, income, security, savings, health, family and friends.
They also mentioned that the word love comes up a lot when people are discussing
prosperity, it
isn’t just about wealth. You need to be balanced you need to have deep and committed
human relationship. Moreover, there is a sense of services and giving such as volunteering
and community services, that is involved is involved in conservations about prosperity. You
prosper so you can help others not just yourself. You prosper as a state of peace, where you
can help others obtain peace as well
1. MONEY-Earned in a way that aligns with your inner self and values
2. HAPPINESS-Which involves health, service, and other key relationships
3. SUSTAINABILITY-Which is a method of making money that increase your health
and wee-being for a long term.
EXAMPLE NO.1-World’s most prosperous country is Norway and world’s super power
country is United States of America stand at 10th position, you can see the difference that
having only wealth cannot lead you to have a perfect life, it’s just one pillar amongst
many that make prosperity, wealth can never be the most dominant factor for spending a
good quality life, to live such life one should know all the arts and science of Prosperity.
6
EXAMPLE NO.2-If you are living below the poverty line(22050$ annual income for a
family of four in 2017,an extra $5000 a year can make a huge difference in your happiness,
on the other hand, if your family earns $70000 a year $5000 may be a welcome bonus but it
won’t radically change your life.
So yes, money can buy some happiness. But as you’ll see, it’s just one piece of the puzzle.
And there’s a real danger that increased income can actually make you miserable-if your
desire to spend grows with it. But that’s not to say you have to live like a monk. The key is
finding a balance between having too little and having too much-and that’s no easy task.
