VARIENT CONFIGURATION

We also call it as Configurable material.

Configurable material means a product having multiple characteristic.

Variant configuration will help to simplify maintain of complex material.

Variant configuration will help to deliver the right choice of product to customer.

Configuration of variant:
The T-code to create characteristic is CT04:

Create Wheels, Paintwork, and Engine.

Maintain Characteristic and click on create.

Maitain decription and select data type and number of char.

Click on Values Tab and maintain the characteristic value.

Save it.

Create Price characteristic to determine variant Price.

Go to additional data Tab and maintain Table name SDCOM and Filed VKOND
Go to Value Tab
Same create for other also.

Step2: Create class and the T-code is CL01

Go to Cl01>

Go to Characteristic Tab and maintain Characteristic.

Enter and save it.

Step3: Create Configurable Material

Go to Classification tab and maintain class.

Step4: To create Configurable Profile Go to Cu41
Select Material
After click on continue you will get this screen just enter.

Maintain Profile name whatever you want then select the line and click on Profile detail.
Select single level, Sales order (SET) and maintain SD01 in Application Field.

Save it.
Step5: Create Dependencies
Go to CT04
Go to your Characteristic and go to value tab.

Select the First line and go to Extra Tab Then click on object independencies, click on Editor

After that you will get this popup so select procedure and click on continue.
Maintain source code 10-$self.Price2='STEEL WHEELS'

Do it for other value also.

Now finally save it.
Step6: Maintain variant condition type in pricing procedure.
Go to v/08

Step7: Maintain Condition record for main material.

Step8: Maintain Condition record for Characteristic value.

Step9: Create order and see the characteristic value is determining or not.
When you maintain the material you will get this screen.
