Subject: Spelling Reference: Luke 10: 25-37
Lesson topic: Spelling: Variant Vowels Materials: Small White Board, Soft Marker Pen,
PowerPoint, Notebook,
Objectives: IFL:
 Have them hear the words and be able to
write them.
 Differentiate the variant vowel and able to
write into word.
 Apply the words both orally and in writing
the influences.

Strategies: Assessment:
Participation, Discussion, game, Class participation, Quiz (worksheet)

Procedures & Activities


Week 3: Tuesday & Wednesday

Introduction:
Introduce the 20 spellings
 Let students get their note book and sit into circle close to teacher so that everyone can hear.
 Read out loud and let them write into their own from what they heard.
 Let students check the spelling what they had written each other by providing them correct answers.
Write the missing letters
 Have student get ready with their own small white board.
 Let the students write the missing letters on their own. And the same time, let them give the point by
themselves if they could make it correct.

Week 4: Thursday:
Explain the variant vowels spelling and students will work on their work sheets
 Explain more about variant vowels and discuss with them.
 Let them have some class activity based on the variant lesson.
 Students will work out their work sheets.
Week 4: Wednesday
Assessment & Activity
Words review game
 Students will have quiz based on the words they had learned.
 By showing pictures on screen or paper, students will read out loud the word that represent the
picture. (Make sure the students who raise their hand to speak first and have them spell correctly.)
 It reviews the words by using the words students had learned
