ADVERBS OF FREQUENCY

Adverbs of frequency show you how often something happens. This can be always = 100%, or never = 0%.

We are going to review five frequency adverbs:

ALWAYS – NEVER – OFTEN – SOMETIMES - USUALLY

 Always: Siempre
 Never: Nunca
 Often: A menudo
 Sometimes: Algunas veces
 Usually: Usualmente

Always usually often sometimes never


100% 90% – 70% 70% - 40% 30% - 10% 0%

These adverbs can go before the main verb.

or after a form of to be (am, are, is) - (was, were).
