Laissez-faire - Herbert Hoover
He served as the secretary of
commerce for 2 presidents before
becoming president himself. Without
any elected office experience and only
relying on his engineering expertise, he
was hands-off in his methods, but
trusted in the experience of his team.
Paternalistic - Jack Ma
A former English teacher, Jack Ma co founded and chairs Alibaba Group, one of
the world's largest e-commerce businesses.
Authoritarian - John F. Kennedy
Perhaps, one of the most famous presidents of
the United States and the world, It was under his
regime when the first man was sent to the moon,
a feat that has led to succeeding outer space
explorations. This was made possible by his
authoritarian leadership in which he was able to
motivate and convince America to support the
space program.
Transformational - Nelson Mandela
Nelson transformed a small South African company into a bustling non-profit
organization. Soon after, he would be elected president of South Africa.
Democratic - Abraham Lincoln
Lincoln not only met with everyone at speeches, but he also listened and cared for
their worries. He soon used these worries to help the world by fighting for them.
Transactional - Charles de Gaulle
After France fell to Germany in the 1940’s, Charles got
up and implemented an ‘eye for an eye’ strategy. He
led the French Resistance throughout the war and
helped the Allies when they came to take control of
French states.
Servant Leader - Martin Luther King Jr.
He didn’t choose the easy road, sticking to non-violent
approaches. He and everyone he knew that it would
be more difficult, but he knew that it would be
beneficial for everyone he fought for.
