1. (a) A cylinder 50 mm and height 60 mm rest its base on HP. It is cut by a plane perpendicular to
VP and inclined at 45 0 to HP. The cutting plane meets the axis at the distance of 15 mm from the top.
Draw the sectional plane and true shape of the section?

(b) A vertical chimney of 70 cm diameter joints a roof sloping at 35 0 with horizontal. The shortest
portion over the roof is 32 cm. Obtain the shape of the sheet metal from which the chimney can be
fabricated? (Scale 1 : 20)

2. (a) A cylindrical slab off 75 mm diameter and 45 mm think is surmounted by a cube of 38 mm


side. On the top of the cube rests a square pyramid of altitude 38 mm and side of base 25 mm. A axes of
solids are in the same straight line. Draw the isometric view of the set up?

(b) Draw the three possible ways of representing the isometric projection of a hexagonal prism

3. (a) A square prism of side base 40 mm and height 60 mm rests with its base on the ground such
that one of its rectangular faces is parallel to and 10 mm behind the picture plane. The station point is 30
mm infront of PP, 80 mm above the ground plane and lies in a central plane 45 mm to the right of the
centre of the prism. Draw the perspective projection of the square prism?

(b) A regular hexagonal pyramid of base edge 20 mm and height 35 mm rests on its base on the
ground plane with one of its base edges touching the picture plane. The station point is 30 mm above the
ground plane and 40 mm infront of picture plane. The central plane is 30 mm to the right of the axis.
