Activity 2.1

Since I was young I have believed nothing should stop you from achieving your dreams.
It is on the confidence you have in yourself and the choices you make that affects it. As years
passed by, my dreams started to change and began asking myself on where can I fit in. Up until
now it’s not yet fixed.

I know that I need a lot of life skills to reach my star. First, I need to have a positive
attitude. We all experience setbacks that can harbor negative feelings, but having a proactive
approach to problems when they arise is a key life skill to have in both my personal and
professional life. Next, I need to be well-prepared at all times. In times of challenges I must be
ready to face them all. Get that courage to step out of your comfort zone and venture into the
unknown can be scary, but it’s an essential ingredient in your career success. Further, one must
be organized. It includes effective time management as well as clarity of thought. The ability to
think rationally affects decisions. Timely decision-making is of immense importance. Finally, the
most important skill is to be open to suggestions. The willingness to learn will give you the
opportunity to gain more knowledge and expertise in your field. Remember there is no age
limit for learning new things.  

Therefore, it’s upon working hard and giving the perseverance to achieve your dreams
can bring you genuine happiness after all. Mainly because if you know that you worked hard it
will pay off in the future when you have achieved your dreams. Going further, if you work hard
and achieve your dream job, you will be happy knowing you succeeded in this short term or
lifelong goal. When you work hard it may seem like there is no reward, even though the reward
is being able to know that you have achieved your goal.
