1. The holter allows the storing of an electrocardiogram for a certain period of time , 30-60 times
faster rendering of the recorded signal , alarms incase of an abnormal electrocardiogram.

Reasons why doctor may ask for a holter mounting :

• Detecting cardiac arrhythmias

• Evaluating chest pain

• Checking heart activity after a heart attack

• Checking heart activity after a pacemaker was inserted

• Checking effect of using certain drugs

• Discovering the causes of certain symptoms such as breathing problems , dizziness and
confusion

2. A coronary CT scan is an imaging test that looks at the arteries that supply your heart. Uses a
powerful x-ray to produce images of your heart and its blood vessels used to diagnose a variety
of heart conditions.

3. The orthopedic table has number of features that make it useful such as :

• Auxiliary capacity of axial traction and limbs rotation

• Radio transparent faculty that allows the performing of manoeuvres and surgical movements
under real time intra-operative radiological control.

4. A uretoscopy is a procedure by which a small optical instrument can be used to examine the
ureter. The uretoscope is inserted through the urethra , bladder , ureter and in the place where the
stone is located.

• It is performed by a urologist to look inside the urinary tract specialized in urinary tract
problems.

• A ureter is a tube that allows blood to travel from the kidney to the bladder.

• It is Performed under general anaesthesia and lasts 1 hour long. If the uretoscope is inserted
into the urethra reaching the bladder and from this point , through the uretal orifice on the
ureter , its called retrograde uteroscopy.
