This is to certify that the Project - I titled “Title of the project” was
allotted to Students’ Name (University Roll number) 4th year students
of B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering of Heritage Institute of
Technology. Following the guidelines as prescribed in the B. Tech
Curricula and Syllabi, the candidates have carried out the project work
by occasionally consulting the undersigned and have prepared the report.
In my opinion, this is a fit piece of project work required to be submitted
at the end of B. Tech 8th semester.

IF EXPERIMENTAL

3.1. Materials

The consumables used in the process along with their CAS number (if the consumables are
chemicals). Equipments and Analytical Instruments used in the process along with their make.

3.2. Methods

The experimental procedure must be written here. There may be number of subheadings
depending on the sub-processes done during experimental procedure. The subheading should
have a number such as 3.2.1, 3.2.2, …… with an appropriate heading text (This should be bold
and italic)

IF THEORETICAL

There may be number of subheadings depending on the different theoretical approaches. The
subheading should have a number such as 3.2.1, 3.2.2, …… with an appropriate heading text
(This should be bold and italic)

IF BOTH EXPERIMENTAL AND THEORETICAL

3.1. Materials

(Times New Roman, Font Size 12, Line Spacing 1.5, Paragraph Spacing 10 pt, Justified)

There may be number of subheadings depending on the effect of different observations

establishing your outcome. The subheading should have a number such as 4.1, 4.2, …… with an
appropriate heading text (This should be bold and italic). The sections should be an detailed
elaborative narration on the root-cause analysis of your outcome with appropriate figure and
table. The figure should be properly numbered as Fig. 1 (say) in the running text and in the
caption as well. The figure caption must be written at the bottom of the figure with an
appropriate description of it. The table should be properly numbered as table 1 (say) in the
running text and in the caption as well. The table caption must be written at the top of the table
with an appropriate description of it. Figures and tables shown must be referenced in the running
