What

is a mindmap?

A mindmap is simply a visual way to brainstorm and document ideas and connections.

What do I need to include in this mindmap?

• Identify three weekly topics that connect to your object (one of those topics must be
Griswold/Week 3/Cultural Objects).
Then, for each of those three weekly topics, you should map out and explain:
o What is the connection between your chosen object and the weekly topic;
o How is this weekly topic meaningful in the context of your own everyday life;
o What are three parts of the set reading that help you connect the object to your
own life.
§ Include a quote for each of these.

What format should it be in?

Online, hand-drawn, colour-coordinated or more text-based: it is your choice. Go with what works
for you!

What do I need for the Week 10 1-on-1?

You will need to:

• Have your chosen ‘object’ ready to show your tutor;
• Attend all of the tutorial. Note your tutor will take you off into an individual ‘breakout
room’ where you will discuss your ‘object’;
• When you are in your ‘breakout room’ you will discuss your justification for choice of
object, including showing your teacher a completed ‘mind-map’ (if you do not have a
printer, you can use an online mind map and share your computer screen with your tutor
via zoom).
