PROTESTANT REFORMATION

1) Brainstorm ideas:

 Gave rise to numerous churches grouped under the denomination of

Protestantism.
 Denied the pope's jurisdiction over all Christendom
 It began with the preaching of the Augustinian priest Martin Luther
 The Protestant Reformation depended on the political support of some princes and
monarchs to be able to form Christian Churches at the state level
 The main exponents of the Protestant Reformation were Martín Lutero and Juan
Calvino.
 The sale of indulgences to finance the construction of St. Pedro Basilica in Rome
started the Protestant Reformation
 Caused Christendom to split in two.

2) Write a first draft quickly—it doesn’t have to be perfect:

WHAT IF THE PROTESTANT REFORM HAD NOT HAPPENED

At one time, this movement appeared in the century XVI and want a great change in
the Catholic Church that would return the principles of traditional Christianity, also
because the catholic church put for sale indulgences, that is say the possibility that the
rich people were freed of the divine punishment for their sins.

If this historical and important fact for world religion had´nt occurred, the Catholic
religion probably wouldn´t be divided today and we would have been a single
(Catholic) church. There wouldn't be as many Christian churches as Adventists or
Evangelicals, they would continue sell indulgences.

Without this Reformation, there wouldn´t have been no spiritual, social, economic,
cultural, scientific, and political revolution. The world and modern society was born at
this moment in history pointing to Jesus in a clear, new and clear way.
Thanks to this reform, many Protestants learned read because one of Luther's ideas
was that everyone learn to read the Bible, not only the leaders of the Catholic Church,
so without this reform we would have an illiterate society, which means that we would
not be educated, nor productive since an illiterate society is more difficult to be without
knowing how to read.

Without reform we would be poor because we would be paying the church daily to
save us haha.

3) Proofread before you submit your work. Look for errors in grammar, spelling
and punctuation.
