This study examined how acts of kindness and novelty affect life satisfaction. Researchers surveyed 195 undergraduate students about recent prosocial and novel behaviors and life satisfaction. They found that both kinds of acts were associated with greater life satisfaction, but acts of kindness had a slightly stronger relationship to life satisfaction than novel acts.
