To Whom It May Concern:

Ms. Mead was a teacher candidate in my second grade classroom for part of the Fall 2018
semester. During that time, Ms. Mead was provided with a wide-range of experiences
from classroom teaching, staff professional development, and collaboration with a
teaching team.

While teaching, Ms. Mead fully immersed herself in all aspects of the classroom. She
planned and taught lessons, and graded work in all general education classes. She
always strived to engage every student and focused much of her efforts on building
connections with those harder to reach children. She brought great energy to our
classroom community and used so many of her creative gifts and talents in her teaching.

Our weekly staff development was a valuable experience for Ms. Mead to gain training in
areas including reading workshop, google classroom, safety, and introduction to PLCs.
She also immersed herself in our C.L.A.S.S. curriculum to ensure that we provided
students with support of their social/emotional well-being. Throughout all of these
training sessions, Ms. Mead took an active approach to learning and utilized these
strategies in the classroom with students. As a grade level team, we met weekly to plan
and collaborate to teach as a cohesive unit. During this time, Ms. Mead actively
participated and added insight into planning. Her commitment to these meetings outside
of school hours showed her dedication and passion to continually improve her teaching
methods.

Overall, Ms. Mead did a wonderful job in the classroom. She was able to effectively
manage all aspects of teaching the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of learners. I
would highly recommend her for a teaching position within an elementary school and
should you want to discuss my experience with her further, please feel free to contact me
