3.2.4 Oracle Process Manufacturing Financials
Bug fixes and improvements:
Actual Cost Processor:
o To process Calendar, Period and Cost types of more than 4 characters
o Inter-Org Transfers with Zero Transfer Price included in costing
o To generate IPV when distribution dates are modified in AP Invoice
o To correctly process Non-Recoverable taxes for OPM LCM Purchase Orders
o Correctly process LCM PO’s received into expense sub inventory
Cost Rollup:
o To process and display correct costs when batch spans across periods and co-product is added in the second period
o By-product Item copy in Target Organization, even when by-product is not ingredient in down stream batches
Lot Cost Processor:
o To process Logical Transactions for Process to Discrete material transfers using Lot Costed Items
o OPM Pre-Processor to process Actual Cost Adjustments
OPM Pre-Processor:
o To generate correct message when cost for one of the Ingredients are copied from another Org
o To generate correct COGS when Sales Order contain multiple distribution lines
o Proper accounting for Yield reversals
o To not to consider Final Accounted actual cost adjustments
OPM costing report improvements in Costed IBOM Report, GL Item Cost Detailed Report, PPV report using
LCM Purchase Order transactions
Other improvements such as Expense Allocation process for PMAC, correct postings for Cost of Goods Sold

4 Functional Impact
This section describes the functional impact of the changes introduced in 12.2.6
4.1 Oracle Process manufacturing Product Development
4.1.1 Process Operations
o To support the Yield calculations in Process Manufacturing, added new field “Yield %” in the header of the
Process Operations window. This field defaults to 100% and used for yield calculations.
4.1.3 Recipes
o To support the Yield calculations in Process Manufacturing, added the new fields “Yield %” in Recipe header and
also in Step Quantity region. This field defaults to 100% and used for yield calculations

4.2.3 Material Transactions window (Batch Details)
o To support the Yield calculations, in the Material Transactions window step number is now editable field to
associate the ingredients / Products to steps if they are not done already, or to change the existing associations
4.2.4 Batch Steps window
o To support the Yield calculations, added the new tab “Operation Yield”. And also “Step Transfer Details” region.
This enables users to enter the Intermediate quantities between the steps and to display the yield calculations for
batch steps.
4.2.5 Batch transactions
o New validation where Actual Start Date and Completion Date cannot be modified for WIP /Completed Batches
when transaction dates fall in closed period
o Process Execution Parameter “Auto Detail Batch “now supports for circular Phantom batches for reservations.
o Inventory profile INV: Transaction Date Validation “Do not allow past date” is honored by Batch Material

4.4.1 Actual Cost Processor
o OPM LCM Purchase Order receipts partially received into Expense Sub inventory
o Cost Calendar, Cost Period and Cost Types more than 4 character length
o Zero Transfer Price considered in costing for Discrete to Process transfers
o Non-Recoverable tax for OPM-LCM Purchase Orders
4.4.2 Cost Rollup
o Batches across periods
o Sourcing rules using profile Profile 'GMF:Compute Ingredient Cost in target organization based on sourcing rules'
is setup 'Yes, in Detail'.
4.4.3 Lot Cost Processor
o OPM Pre-Processor to process Actual Cost Adjustments

5 Testing Recommendations
This section provides high level recommendations for testing functional areas and business flows. These recommendations are based on
the identified functional impact of 12.2.6
5.1 Oracle Process Manufacturing Product Development
5.1.1 Process Operation (Newly added fields information as part of Yield Management)
o Create Process Operation by entering the Yield percentage. Yield is an optional field and it always defaults to
100%. Yield percentage cannot be changed after the status is changed to Approved for General Use.
5.1.2 Process Routings (Newly added fields information as part of Yield Management)
o Create process routing and ensure that yield percentage is derived from the yield defined from the Operation
definition and can be overridden. Change the status of routing to ‘Approved for General Use’ and ensure that
the yield percentage cannot be changed thereafter.

5.2 Oracle Process manufacturing Process Execution
12
Functional Impact Assessment Document
o For a batch having material exceptions, Release or complete the step using Touch Screen Operator Workbench
by acknowledging the decision message (yes).
5.3.3 Batch step status changes to Completed on completion of the quality task
o Enable the quality parameters “Control batch step status” and “Complete Batch Step Automatically”.
Acknowledge the Quality Task by entering the results and change Disposition to Accept using Touch screen
Operator Workbench, on completion of the quality task step status changes to complete.

5.4 Oracle Process Manufacturing Financials
5.4.1 Actual Cost Processor
o Create LCM PO transaction verify for Situation-1: OPM Organization and PO is a LCM enabled and
Situation-2: OPM Organization, PO is received when it is not LCM enabled, but then PO line location and PO
distribution is changed to LCM enabled.
o Actual Cost Processor considers Cost Calendar, Cost Period and Cost Types more than 4 character length
o Create Inter-Org transfers from Discrete to Process zero transfer price is being considered properly at receiving
process org for all combinations of Direct, FOB Shipment and FOB receipt and Fiscal Policy options to book
INV at either Item cost (with PPV) or TP (with out PPV)
o Setup Non-Recoverable tax for OPM-LCM Purchase Order and observe that Actual Cost Processor correctly
processes item cost
o Batches across periods where co-product is added in say period-2 when ingredients are consumed in period-1
o Create cost for item in source organization and ship the same item to target organization and use that item as
By-product in target organization and make profile Profile 'GMF:Compute Ingredient Cost in target
organization based on sourcing rules' is setup 'Yes, in Detail'. Run cost roll up in target organization. Cost from
source organization get copied to target organization for a by product
14
Functional Impact Assessment Document
5.4.4 OPM Pre-Processor
o Create and Close the batch in such a way that for one of the Ingredients, costs are copied from another
organization and check for OPM Pre-Processor error message similar to: “Cannot find item record for the item
ID: XXX in ORG: YYY” in place of “Cannot find item record for the item ID: XXX in Item Master”
o Create a Sales Order with Multiple delivery lines and observe that total COGS generated reconciles with total
quantity of Sales Order
o Create a batch and Production Yield is cancelled thru Delete option like deleting above WIP Completion
(menu Inventory>Correct Material Transactions),correct Journal Entries are created for both WIP completion
and WIP completion returns
o Create Actual Cost adjustments and run OPM Pre-Processor and create accounting in Final mode to post to
GL, now re-run OPM Pre-Processor and observe that Final Accounted Actual Cost Adjustments are not
processed by OPP
15
Functional Impact Assessment Document
5.5 Oracle Process Manufacturing Planning
5.5.1 When planned order suggestion failed planning suggestion request complete with warning in place of error
o When planning suggestion is not able to find right recipe validity rule to execute the Auto planning suggestion,
the request gets completed with a warning. Run the Collection and Plan and modify the recipes that have auto
planning suggestion to implement in Planning Work Bench. Release Planning Work Bench suggestion and
check if Auto release planning suggestion request completed with warning message.
