History
Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation, as one of the country’s leading automotive brands with more than
50 years of automotive manufacturing experience in the Philippines, comes home to its new manufacturing
plant in Santa Rosa, Laguna.

Occupying 21 impressive hectares, the new manufacturing plant can produce a maximum of 50,000 units
annually. As work progresses, new units to be manufactured here in the Philippines, will be added to the already
existing line-up of the Adventure and L300.

In addition to transferring to a bigger plant, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) also upgraded
its equipment to further improve the assembly process and quality. One of which is the automated plastic parts
paint robot – the first of its kind in the Philippines. Paired with the topcoat body spray robots, this results in a
quicker and more consistent paint process. The newly adopted 3C1B paint shop seals the deal of the company’s
new effort for efficiency and quality.
As part of New Stage 2016, the manufacturing plant move will generate additional job opportunities to the
already nine hundred-strong workforce MMPC has. Last 2014, MMPC sold a total of 50,085 vehicles – a
historical sales record and 8th consecutive year of growth for the company.

Moving forward, MMPC is poised to keep its strong industry position with its extensive vehicle line-up and a
continuously expanding dealership network.

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation, driving success today and in the future.
