• It contain trachea to lungs heart and great whistle and limbs node.

rib 11 posteriorly.
• Superior thorax appertuer also called of inlet . Head neck and upper
limb community and thorax cavity through thoracic inlet.

Lateral decubitus view
•The lateral decubitus view of chest is
specialised projection uterine to
demonstrate small plural effusion for
investigation pneumothorax and at
trapping due to in held foriegn body.
Patient position

•The patient lie on the affected side to


demonstrate fluid in the pluearl cavity or on
the the non affected side to demonstrate air
in the cavity.
•The Patient lie in true lateral position with
both arms straight above head to avoid
superimposed on Lung field.

• Lateral decubitus film (right aur left as the case maybe) show.
• Pneumothorax for effusion with a horizontal fluid level.
