Ask a Theorist

Eric, 19, Florida.- I am just getting started with learning about different theories. My
family and friends have made fun of my newly found interest in the topic. How do I
handle this?
Eric,
Many people find Conspiracy Theories foolish, and those people are foolish
themselves. Many people do not understand the joy and how interesting the topic is.
Most people do not know enough about conspiracy theories to enjoy or appreciate
them. My advice is, firstly, do not let others opinions of your interests discourage you!
They are your interests, it is all about what you like. Secondly, try to get them to love
what you love. If you know they are willing to listen with an open mind, show them some
simple theories. Convert them into a believer! Regardless, do not stop doing the things
you love, keep an open mind about the world around you.

For those who do not know, there is a theory about the band Pan!c at the Disco.
In their song ‘I write sins not tragedies’ the lead band member, Brendon Urie sings a
specific line. He says “I chime in with ‘havent you people ever heard of, closing the
goddamn door.” People have noticed that it used to be “Closing a goddamn door.” Even
the singer himself, sings it this way. But in the video the way the singer says the line is
different than he remembers it. A fellow singer, Hailsey, tweeted the theory at Brendon
Urie about the theory. He himself, had no explanation.

I think that this theory is very interesting. It is interesting because it is a clear
example of the mandela effect. It is also very intriguing because the person involved
with the theory has no reasonable explanation or excuse. One thing about Mandela
effects is, the people or companies involved usually are very quick to shut down and
questions. This theory is interesting because it is very recent. Keep looking out for new
theories, they pop up everyday.
