Sub: Court Cases — Signing of vakalats in other than green ink — Instructions

Of late, itis noticed that when Board's Officials are impleaded as Respondents, in the Wit Petitions/
AS. and Petitioners in Writ Appeals, etc. are affixing their signature in the vakalats by using green ink. This
bractice of using green ink in the vakaiats is strongly objected by the Registry of the High Court, Madras. itis
also informed that the Hon'ble Judges took dis-pleasure over signing of green inkin the vakalats. The Registrar
has thus informed that the signature should be affixed by using blue or black ink only, In view of above. iis
informed that the practice of affixing signature by the officers of the Board in the Vakalats counter affidavit and
affidavits using green ink should be avoided forthwith, ive or black ink only shall be used while affixing
signature in the vakatats Counter Affidavits and Affidavits. All Chief Engineers/Superintending Engineers are
Tequested to inform immediately the sub-ordinate officers also to follow the above procedure without fal
