Via A.Ressi, 17 - 20125 Milano (Italy) ph.: ++39 02 67072002 fax : ++39 02 67074090 e-mail : ki@kirchner-italia.it PROCEDURE TO ACCESS INSULATION OVER COILS E-4112 AND E-4113 SCOPE OF WORK This Erection Procedure has been prepared to outline the sequence of dismantling, opening and reinstallation of the roof over the E-4112 and E-4113. Site conditions, availability of personnel, erectors ability and physical capabilities may require deviation from these Procedures. If Kirchner supervisor is available, his instruction shall be duly followed. Customer is free to discuss and develop furtherly this Procedure along with the erection subcontractor encharged of work activities. In any case, it is strongly suggested to carry out the complete job under the supervision of the specialized erection personnel. Kirchner Italia does not assume any responsibility for erection additional work or direct, indirect damages that should be made by erection staff due to disregard or misinterpretation of this Procedure or of Kirchner supervisor disposals. Kirchner Italia will not keep any mechanical performance guarantee if the erection is not cartied out in the proper way, in accordance with this procedure, verified by specialized erection personnel or by Kirchner supervisor. PROCEDURE 2.1 The platforms above convection roof at elevation 110426 (walkways) shall be partially dismantled in accordance with sketch B-270S-ING-05-1-02. Now the walkway lay-out is shown on sketch B-2705-ING-05-1-01 2.2 ITIS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THE MAIN STRUCTURE FRAMES MUST NOT REMOVED. THE MAIN STRUCTURE FRAMES ARE AT ELEVATION 110126 ON ROWS 6-8-9. 2.3. The part of roof that shall be modified is between row 8 and 9 and between row P-N-M-L.Kirchner ref.: B-2705-ING-05-1-CAI1A 24 25 2.6 27 2.8 29 2.10 211 2.12 2.13 2.14 245 2.16 After having made the dismantle shown on points 1, 2 and 3, 56 off openings shall be made on roof casing considering all dimensions shown on sketch B- 2705-ING-05-1-03. Dismantle all roof refractory along the parts of roof casing that shall not be removed (with the 56 openings). Grind very well the side of all openings made on point 2.4. At workshop 56 off frames with bended plates (6 mm thickness) shall be made in accordance with the dimensions shown on sketch B-2705-ING-05-1-03. We strongly raccomend that a detailed check of dimensions shall be made at side on each opening in order to avoid any problem during installation of the new panels. At workshop 56 off plates (of 6 mm thickness) shall be cut (the measures are shown on sketch B-2705-ING-05-1-03) and shall be connected with angles 40x20x5. Check that the dimensions of each removable panel (composed of plate + angles) is in accordance with the relevant frame made with bended plates. ‘The connection between panels and frames shall be performed by bolts M12x35 with pitch of 150 mm max. Mark each panel with the relent frame in oredr to avoid any problem during the installation. During the construction of panels and frames permit a tollerance of 1.5 mm on each panel side (see sketch B-2705-ING-05-1-05) in order to have a more easy installation. Install all frames on convection roof performing the necessary welds in accordance to detalils 1, 2, 3, 4 of sketch B-2705-ING-05-1-05, Install Z-BLOCK thk 200 mm on all parts of convection roof that were not been dismantled by single screw, after having made holes on roof casing (thk. 6 mm), Each Z-BLOCK shall have its screw. Z-BLOCK thk 200 mm shall be installed on the part of convection roof between coil E-4112A, E-4113 and E-4112B. Each Z-BLOCK shall be fixed as described on point 2.14. The access in convection section to install these Z-BLOCK can be made using the access door. that there is between banks. The operation shall be ‘made simultaneously from inside and outside the convection section (using the opening in roof casing) - see sketch B-2705-ING-05-1-04. ‘After having completed Z-BLOCK thk 200 mm installation on fixed part of convection section roof (that were not been dismantled), proceed with the installation of Z-BLOCK thk 220 mm installation at ground on 56 removable panels with the rails and rods (Nelson type). We suggest to install Z-BLOCK thk 3Kirchner ref.: B-2705-ING-05-1-CAI1A 3.0 4.0 220 mm in order to reduce as much as possible future casing temperature of convection section roof. 2.17 _ Install the 56 removable panels with refractory by bolting to the relevant frames. Pay attention that between the Z-BLOCK thk 220 mm installed on fixed parts of roof and Z-BLOCK thk 200 mm installed on removable panels there is a good pressure during the installation; so a good seal shall be performed. 2.18 A final check of the installation of Z-BLOCK shall be made internally where possible. 2.19 After having installed all removable panels, install all walkways that were dismantled at the beginning of the procedure.
