Anecdotal Note: Describe what you saw the child do and/or heard the child say.

Miles is reading a story to Grandpa. Miles said, “Thomas is stuck in mud. He stuck in mud. I
can’t read it. You read it grandpa.” Miles turned the page. Miles says, “He all dirty. He needs a
wash.” Miles picks up another book and says, “Now read that one.” Grandpa begins reading.
Pointing to a picture Miles says, “That hot dog. I eat hot dog.” Grandpa reads and Miles makes
animal sounds. Miles wants to turn the page. Grandpa says I’m not done with that page yet and
raises the book up. Miles say, “Hey, bring it down.” Grandpa brings the book down and continues
to read. Miles says, “Hey, he has an instrument,” while pointing to the picture.
