“August 17th, 2025. Elora, Ontario.

It is raining. Hard.

We’ve been stuck in a drought for the past 3 months and this is the first time I’ve seen rain in a
long time. I guess what’s weird, or why I’m even documenting this, is because it came out of nowhere.
One minute, you’re in the middle of the Sahara desert with your small French town being so hot, your
tongue just wants to fall out of your mouth; and the next, it’s like you’re on the Titanic and it hit the
iceberg and everything is drowning and sinking to the bottom of the ocean-”

“Mini, stop being so dramatic,” My brother, Charlie calls from the kitchen.

“Charles, stop being so annoying,” I mock.

Charlie is my older brother.
