Dear Selection Committee,

My name is Jeremy Hill and I am an Agricultural instructor and FFA advisor at Union County High

School. I have had the opportunity to have Benji Kilgore in my classes serving as a student teacher for

the spring 2020 semester. Every day my students look forward to having Mr. Kilgore in class because of

his wonderful personality. He has a way of bringing life to the classroom. No matter how bad any

student’s day had begun, after they have class with Mr. Kilgore they are cheered up. Over the years I

have encountered many talented teachers. Each one has made a profound impact on me and my

teaching. Mr. Kilgore however stands out among all of the educators I have encountered. He has a very

upbeat and optimistic personality. He works very hard and focuses on the task at hand. He tries his best

on all his work and treats students and faculty with the upmost of respect. He serves on many

extracurricular events in the community. I can think of no other person more deserving of this

opportunity than Mr. Kilgore. He is the real deal and works hard. His credentials for this position are

backed up with actions, not just what looks good on paper. From watching him care for people

volunteering at FFA community service events to operating his family business, Mr. Kilgore has the

facilities, know how, and drive to be successful. Mr. Kilgore displays a passion for learning and teaching

that sets him apart from all other candidates. Mr. Kilgore possesses qualities that are rare for people

today. Many teachers are focused on either academics or extracurricular activities only. Mr. Kilgore is

one of those rare teachers that does both with passion. Mr. Kilgore puts others needs before his own

and strives to be excellent in all he does. Mr. Kilgore lives a Christian life which is shown through his

actions. I hope you choose Mr. Kilgore for this opportunity. You will find no more of a hardworking and

caring individual with a burning passion for teaching than Mr. Kilgore. He is truly a one of a kind young

man who I consider one of the best upcoming teachers in the state. I am proud to have been his

supervising teacher.
