At the bottom of the page, you will find links for story-read
alouds related to this week’s topic. You can view these on
any of your devices.
1. Do a tidy up of your room, your house, or your yard. Ask a family member if
you can help or ask them to help you. Working together makes the job more
fun and it gets done faster!
2. Get a big long rope and do some jump rope! You will need 3 people – 2 to
turn the rope and one jumping in the middle OR you can find a handy tree or
fence post to tie one end to.
3. Create a pillow and blanket fort! Use your strengths to build the ultimate
hang out spot that is inviting and strong. Just make sure to ask a parent
before sticking anything into walls.
4. Try the “no-hands cup stacking challenge”. You will need 6 disposable or
plastic cups, 1 rubber band, and 1 foot of string per person. How can you
work together to stack the cups into a pyramid WITHOUT TOUCHING THE
CUPS WITH YOUR HANDS?
5. Grab a puzzle for some quiet time and work on it with your family. Don’t have
a puzzle? Make your own by creating your own picture full of colour and then
cutting it out into pieces. Can you put it back together?
