METHODOLOGY
DIFFERENCES/COMMENTS
In ACI 318-08 Chapter 13 is for two-way slab systems.
In NSR-10 Chapter 13 is for one and two-slab systems.

In ACI 318-08 there is no chapter C.13.1.5 to C.13.1.12.

In NSR-10, C.13.1.6 specify conditions to know if the slab system is one-way.

Chapter C.13.5 its the same for both codes until C.13.5.5. That chapter is only in NSR-10 because is for one-way
slabs. But, in ACI 318-08, the same request is in 8.3.

Chapter 8 of ACI 318-08 and NSR-10 are the same.

Same request

1. There is a difference in Eq. 9-5 between ACI 318-08 and NSR-10. In ACI 318-08 there is a 0.2S at the end of
the Eq, in NSR-10 doesnt.

Decree 092 from January 17/2011 modified the chapter C.9.2 in NSR-10.

Same request/ Decree 340 from February 13/2012

It is followed the design procedure in ACI 318-14 since is better organized. The comparison is made between
ACI 318M-08 and NSR-10 and the final conclusion is that there is no significant differences.
