chapter 1: What is the importance of logistics in an Organization?

The term logistics is used to describe the entire process of materials and products moving into, through
and/or out of a company. Logistics thus includes any activity involved in the management of inventory at
rest. Logistics management is the management of these logistics activities. And organization need the
logistics process, to maintained the cycle of activity providing the basic needs and wants of each of us.

Chapter 2: What is the connection of logistics and customer service in an organization?

Logistics also plays a key role in the economy in that it supports the movement and flow of many
economic transactions. It is an important activity with regard to the facilitation of the sale of practically
all goods and services. In order to identify with this role of logistics, consider the fact that if goods do not
arrive on time, customers cannot buy them. If goods do not arrive in the correct place or condition, no
sale can be made. All economic activity throughout the supply chain would suffer if the logistics function
failed to fulfil this role. The logistics management function therefore plays an important role in a
country’s export effort, and particularly in a country such as South Africa where government has
established an export-led growth strategy. If the application of the logistics management concept can
tend to a reduction in total logistics costs, exports will be stimulated.

Chapter 3: What are the advantages of logistic outsourcing?

Every companies wants to bit all the risk they encountered in manufacturing. To manifest the solution
for everything, technology give us information to solved some problems when it come to outbound
sources that need to communicate with local and international business associators. Aside from
maintaining a quick response, it would lessen the time and money consume for more products to
produced.

Chapter 4: Give sample cases of inventory problems.

ABC Garment is one of a leading store in CZ mall. ABC garment having a 500 list items in their shop, and
every item have a 100 pcs on stocks for every item. One day Mr.Cruz want to buy a 120 pcs of blue v-
neck shirts of ABC garments unexpectedly, that will be used for school reunion a soon as possible. So the
possible thing is that ABC garment cannot no longer close the transaction to Mr Cruz to buy those shirts
need to their reunion. In short, Mr Cruz find another store for him to chose a store that can supplied him
in total number shirt he needs.
